An integrated reception system (IRS system) uses one aerial or satellite array to broadcast multiple sources of signals to multiple receivers or outlets.
IRS systems supply signals from terrestrial television, FM radio, digital audio broadcast (DAB) digital radio and satellite TV.
IRS systems are typically used as a communal TV system for communal housing areas such as blocks of Flats, Hotels, Prisons, Schools, Care homes and Student accommodation.
IRS systems are now replacing older systems called master aerial television (MATV). MATV is also used for communal housing blocks but is only able to transmit terrestrial TV signals.
An IRS system is the perfect solution to communal residential and commercial areas as one aerial/satellite can be used to replace individual aerials/satellites for each user. This is more convenient and cost effective and looks better visually.
The residents or tenants have freedom to decide where to tune in to and are not forced to use the supplier of TV programming that the landlord favours.
Residents and tenants have access to analogue and digital terrestrial, digital satellite, FM radio and DAB.
There will be no individual systems making the area more aesthetically pleasing.
IRS has potential access to UK’s wide variety of HD channels and 3D channel, thereby “future- proofing” your options.
There is an option to add foreign satellite services to cater to diverse communities.
IRS System Installation requires the knowledge and expertise of a professional TV/AV Installer to avoid installation errors and the use of the wrong equipment. TV & Satellite transmissions use high broadcast frequencies and the installation needs a high quality grade of cabling.
Installing an IRS system requires extensive knowledge of TV/Radio aerial/satellite array set up and wiring of a sophisticated distribution box.
